I am a fan of music. Almost any style, any genre, just so long as it moves me. This being said, why does the woman who sits near me at work only listen to the kind of music that reminds me of riding in my grandparents’ car as a kid? Or, to put it more clearly, like the music they play in a hospital hallway. (Granted, this is a hospital, but there is NO music in our area, and frankly, I think we all like being able to bring our own). And why does she insist on playing it so loudly that I have to turn my music up to drown it out? And why is my CD player not working? Is this some kind of punishment?

This might be hell.

Maybe cause she's deaf? If she's listening to grandma music, is she a fogey? What sort of music is it? Have you asked her to "Turn that shit down, ya old bat!"?
Can't play music on your computer? That's what I'm doing right now. Iceberg radio.... LOVE IT!

I turned it off when she walked away and it worked for a little while...and then she thought her radio was broken...
but when she realized that it wasn't...the whole thing started again. I don't even know what kind of music it is...crap...that's all i hear...crap. I don't have sound on this stupid computer...I can't remedy this...
It truly IS hell...

Again...at least I am not stranded on a roof or swimming with bodies. At least I don't have cholera.

You seriously can't tell? I mean, REALLY? Is it that annoying volume level where you keep TRYING to hear and can't STOP trying but it's just not loud enough to really make out what it is? I hate that.
Again, though, IS SHE AN OLD LADY?
No sound? or no speakers? What about a headset... plug THAT into the computer. That's what I'm doing cause they won't give us speakers here.
And hell is relative. I mean, that ain't hell to me. Hell for me is being in a meeting with nothing but 12-15 old, black baptist women who can't seem to stop talking about the glories of Jesus long enough to have the damn meeting.
That's hell.

I don't know how old she is...she isn't young...but she isn't super old...I dunno...

And yes, that is exactly the level that it is at. Except the other day...the OTHER day, I know it was The Eagles "On the Border" ALL. DAY. LONG.

I swear to god...If I hear "Lyin' Eyes" one more time, someone will die.

Hmmm...Interesting idea of hell...

You don't like the Eagles? Interesting.
Or is it just THAT song/album?
Oh, and that hell was called "JEA". Ugh.
Oh, and just for you:
You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin eyes

Now GO GIT 'EM!!!

I used to really like The Eagles...In fact, I know almost all of their songs...however, I think that had something to do with some sort of fond memory, because the older I get, I just want them to shut up. Really, though. Don Henley can sing "Boys of Summer" and "End of the Innocence" because those songs are not Eagles songs...

That was just wrong. Good thing I have a CD player...Oh wait...
Well atleast no one is playing really terrible music in the background...Oh...wait...

PS. Already Gone is alright...

Oh, I had to look the song up. I only knew of Hotel California and Take it Easy (I think that's them) before I starting doing the trivia gig and was given other Eagles stuff. I don't see the big deal, really. Maybe cause I wasn't there for their hayday or something. Dunno.
Feel the same way about the Beatles... except for the Ringo songs. Not sure why, but THOSE I like. The rest sound good in commercials.
And the Who. And the Doors. And other "classic" rock stuff... it's ok but not worth the passion people show them. But, I like music THOSE people don't so it all balances out in the end.

You could always just start tapping your pen or something but NOT to the beat of the song and see how long it takes to annoy HER.
Or my fave... TELL HER TO TURN IT DOWN.
